Meg and Jim tie the knot!

It seems like forever since I've updated this blog. There have been a few weddings since my last post, as well as a family outdoor shoot or two. My excuseω Life! Since the birth of my Daughter 20 months ago, life has been wonderfully busy, and therefore my photography has taken a bit of a back seat to raising my Daughter. Ok, ok enough excuses... finally onto a new post!
I love when a wedding is not only located in a beautiful setting like Lake George, but happens to fall on a day when the sun decides to shine. Meg and Jim were married on July 30th 2011, at Dunhams Bay Resort on what couldn't have been a nicer day. From the moment we walked into the room where Meg was getting ready, we knew it was going to be a fun day to photograph. The images say it all, from the ceremony to the last shot on the dance floor, it was smiles all around. I was able to see some good friends from High School again as well which was a added bonus. Special thanks again to my amazing wife for coming along to help out with poses and making sure I don't miss a beat. You're the best baby.

The Christensen Family

It was almost a year ago to the day that Dana and I met Kaden at 3 weeks old in the studio. Mom and Dad felt it was only right that at 1 year we all get together, this time outside, and get some family photos to celebrate! At one year Kaden is still just as cute as he was at 3 weeks. Even with the heat rising early in the morning, he was all smiles for us, and came ready to model. I'm really glad we were able to fit in a session early in the morning, because by the end of it I have to admit, we all felt the sauna-like temps coming on.
The first photo in this post is from a year ago, just to give you an idea of how much this handsome little guy has grown. Enjoy!

With the days slowly counting down until the big move to the big apple, photo sessions have picked up even more than expected. I have to admit I will not know what to do with myself once I don't have photography to fill the hours, but I imagine once the baby is here, my time will be well taken care of :)
Anyway! This past Monday evening, I met up with Jennifer and Corey, who brought their dog Dusty along for a 1 year anniversary photo shoot at a park in Sugarland. This park in particular has special meaning to the two of them, and it gave me a chance to get a bit creative with the shots. They were engaged here, and had planned to have their wedding in the park (only if mother nature hadn't gotten in the way)... speaking of which, a decent storm rolled through the Houston area right around 3pm that same evening. This time, luck was on their side, and we were able to get some great light coming through the clouds.
